Hello all,
I know with the holidays it's been crazy. I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything about their IRB. I'm assuming they must all be on vacation. Also, are we sending everyone our Intro/Rationales? I couldn't remember if we were all going to look at each others. Hope your holidays were really relaxing!

Hi Everyone!
I was just checking in to see if anyone posted anything about Leonardo. I thought that Chapter 3 was pretty neat. I thought it was cool how they had you look at evreything by using a different sense. I actually read teh chapter when I was on the plane on my way home from visiting my sister in California and it was interesting the things I noticed from the people around me. Well I hope all is going well and I will see you all this weekend!

I think I'm in!!
Hi Everyone!
I think that after some difficulty, I am finally in the blog and hopefully you are able to read this! As many of you have written, I am so thrilled to be a part of this learning community! I look forward each month to seeing all of you and sharing our experiences. I truly feel that I am a better teacher because I have been able to work with all of you and share our combined years of experience.
When Chad and I talked to Barney before we signed on for the program, it sounded too good to be true...now we know that this was one of the best choices we have made in a long time.
Thank you so much for accepting me and making this a wonderful learning experience. I think we are forming long term relationships that I look forward to continuing!

Leonardo Book - Curiosita
I know I wasn't there for our discussion on this topic on Sunday, so I guess I will just give my input on what I learned and experienced with the Curiosita section. It was interesting because going into it, I thought that it was going to be the usual items that I find in my life to be most difficult or give me the most stress. And as I went through the chapter, especially the free write part, I really came across a lot of things that I stress out about but I guess never really do anything about. One of my questions I came up with was How do I balance my work life with my home life? I am getting better at this as I increase my years of teaching experience but I still struggle to not bring things home at night or to just relax once I walk in the door. My family has made comments about how I need to let school go, but I feel like I want to be my best teacher self and home self. It's really hard for me. So if anyone has any suggestions, I would gladly take them! :)
